"For a long time I've had a cupboard stuffed with old author's copies of my books. Abandoned Friends. Every writer must have a few books that never found homes, but mine used to haunt me. And then I took some of the books, tore out their pages, coloured them, created small collage artworks and turned them into postcards. I must have made over two hundred. The postcards are sent at random to anyone I think might appreciate them. Friends and strangers. And so, page by page, the books find themselves reincarnated in a different form. Narrative laid upon narrative, creating random encounters, making new connections, suggesting other possibilities. Memories and dreams." Miles Gibson
